[L-USA] Another Newbie Question

Lions and Tigers and Datums! Oh, my!

Alright, when you refer to Gridpoints, what do you mean? Are these Universal Transversal Mercator references (usable in some, but not all, GPS receivers)?

Hi. Dan from Minnesota here.
The lat./long. for a starting point, is mainly for an associated map.
Most of the clues
have maps which are an aid to help people get started, become familiar
with the area,
etc. Its not a must to have universal grid points but its nice. I
noticed Dartmoor has
its own system. I will probably just leave it as is since it is not
necessary or even
practical to have the U.S. and England side by side in one relative map.

Does that answer your question? If not, let me know. I'm here to help.

Dan

Ps.
I realize that in the long term it may be possible to link all maps
together, but that is
step 11,237 and we are on step 14 here.
